Strategy: Live Your Business
Regine Familet is a highly successful realtor representing buyers and sellers of beautiful homes in San Francisco. She moved to San Francisco from New York City in the fall of 2001. In order to continuously deepen her knowledge of San Francisco, Regine pursued a strategy of living in each of the city’s neighborhoods. It gives her better understanding of each neighborhood’s attributes as well as greater comparative sense between neighborhoods and architectural types for value analyses. To date, Regine has lived in a single family house in Cow Hollow, a view condo in Pacific Heights, a luxury apartment downtown, a flat in the Marina, an Edwardian manor in Presidio Heights, a loft in South Beach, a two unit building in the Inner Richmond, the top level of a Grand Victorian in Pacific Heights, and a chateau-style house on "writers alley" in Russian Hill.
Her Professional Background
Regine received her MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in 1987. She credits her success in real estate to this education and her 14 years at Merrill Lynch. As an investment banker and then as Head of Marketing for the Capital Markets Division, Regine developed her transactional and marketing skills to an exceptional level; her expertise in bringing issuers and investors together has transferred well to sellers and buyers. Upon pursuing her real estate career in 2003, Regine sought out the San Francisco firm that she felt had the most trusted reputation and the highest quality marketing support — she chose McGuire Real Estate to be her ally in serving her clients.
Why do Sellers trust Regine?
Sellers appreciate both her business sense in pricing their homes wisely and her ability to negotiate their best interests at the table to make sure the highest price is achieved. From her diligence in putting together a well thought out disclosure package to her impeccable presentation of the property. Regine even brings items from her own home to assist Sellers in light staging and/or styling their homes for sale. Regine treats every property sale as if it was a billion dollar transaction. Her marketing talents are visible in her first class marketing materials — with full color statements and premium advertising initiatives, as well as her comprehensive usage of the Internet; the properties that Regine represents get noticed on the market.
…particularly absentee owners?
Absentee owners trust Regine to represent them. They know that she will take care of things with the level of care that they, themselves, would have if they were able to be present. For example, the seller of a Pacific Heights condominium, a senior executive who was being transferred abroad, was already spending most of her time in London and thrilled that Regine took all of the worry out of selling her property. Similarly, Regine assisted an executive living in Hong Kong, being his eyes and ears in San Francisco. Representing his best interests, she worked with his tenants to prepare his South Beach loft for sale, and worked closely with the title company so that he could fulfill all of his closing requirements while remaining overseas.
Why do Buyers trust Regine?
Buyers appreciate her ability to zero in and find them the right place. Her goal is not to sell you a house; her goal is to find you the property that you want. They also love her energy, and enthusiasm for their home search, and her perseverance in the final hours. First time buyers, and relocating buyers, also compliment her patience and her desire to ensure that they feel enough research has been done to make an educated decision.
Once she finds your property, Regine makes the closing process as smooth as possible. She even takes care of things post-closing, by giving her buyers a homeowner’s warranty policy to cover most repairs during the first year of ownership.
Born in New York City, Regine adores visiting friends back in Manhattan and vacationing in Ocala, Aspen and Italy. Recently married, she most loves being at home with her husband Brian and their 6 year old cavachon Bradley, a Humane Society rescue dog. Regine is a major donor to her alma mater Dartmouth, as well as an avid supporter of the Full Circle Fund, an engaged philanthropy organization cultivating the next generation of community leaders. Every May, she volunteers as a docent for the San Francisco Decorator Show House.
